Title: Brachium : multifunctioneel opzetstuk voor het tillen van zware lasten met een stapelaar
Authors: Cambien, Thibaut
Issue Date: 2016
Publisher: Hogeschool West-Vlaanderen
Abstract: This bachelor project is about the Brachium, a new solution for lifting heavy objects in an industrial environment. It’s a step by step research to develop a new machine in a really hands-on way. This work took a lot of research to complete and a very careful design process. Partially because this is a self-funded project. Every step taken is a step that is thought over multiple times. The design is unique and offers multiple solutions to aid the common craftsmen in his work environment. Because this is made in a one-man firm, everything was tested by someone with a lot of experience. The shape, technology and ergonomics came forth out of the very place the machine will be used. The final goal was a fully working prototype that could be used in an industrial workplace. So far even, my project boss is planning on using it immediately in his own shop. The end product must be safe, ergonomic and very rigid.
