| Abstract: | This graduation project deals with the subject of designing a new architectural light for meeting and office environments. The problem in most of these rooms is the lack of an attractive and multifunctional light. Often these are also plagued by the specific wiring location and controls. This is where a new lighting fixture can improve the current situation. At first, several brainstorm sessions are held in which promising ideas are generated. Afterwards you have to narrow these down by making logical decisions. A few concepts remain after this step and they deserve further development. These concepts are then tested with scaled models to test and verify the desired effect until one final concept remains. This concept is further developed technically until one final product is delivered. Thanks to this whole process of research, brainstorming, developing and decision making, a new product has emerged which offers very interesting solutions for the meeting and office environment. This study provides detailed information about this process and a thorough description of the final product. |
